    Amidst the silent forest on the foot hills of Maenam is Ravangla. The Buddha Park (Tathagata Tsal) of Ravangla is situated near Rabong. It is brought up of for creating new home to Buddhist circuit and a statue of Lord Buddha in new magnificent looks. The huge statue of Lord Buddha was established there with the help and supports from ASEAN countries in 2006, on the occasion of the 2550th birth anniversary of Gautama Buddha. Its main initiative was taken over by the Department of Tourism and UDHD of Govt. of Sikkim. Different kinds of Buddha relics has been brought from Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, Malaysia, Nepal, Korea, Japan, Myanmar, and installed here in the holy presence of HH The 14th Dalai Lama.

      So it became one of the sacred places in Buddhist world. The main purpose of the project is to boosting pilgrimage and tourism attraction in and around the place. It gives new dawn to the Ravangla and the Buddhist lands round the globe.
    The surrounding is full of meditation places and meditation huts. The park also provides the meditation halls build inside the area. If a visitor spends some times in this park can release all the stress and negativities. This silent place will help grow more in freedom of mind and thinking. It will act as refreshing tonic for visitors. It is worth visiting place in this spring.
